Amali (Practical) Tajweed Course

The Amali (Practical) Tajweed Course is a comprehensive and practice-oriented program designed to help students improve their Qur’an recitation by learning and applying the rules of Tajweed correctly. The word “Amali” refers to practical application, and this course places a strong emphasis on putting Tajweed rules into practice rather than simply learning them theoretically. Tajweed is essential for reciting the Qur’an with correct pronunciation and preserving the proper sounds of the Arabic letters. Even when a student understands the rules, applying them correctly during actual recitation can be challenging. This course bridges that gap by combining clear explanations with guided reading, continuous practice, and correction. Throughout the course, students will learn the correct Makharij (points of articulation) and Sifaat (characteristics) of Arabic letters, helping them develop greater accuracy in pronunciation. They will also study important Tajweed rules and learn how these rules appear within Qur’anic words and verses. A major focus of the course is practical recitation. Students will have opportunities to practise what they learn directly from the Qur’an, allowing them to recognize Tajweed rules while reading and apply them naturally. Common pronunciation errors and recitation mistakes will be identified and corrected through regular practice and instructor guidance. The course covers key areas of Tajweed, including Noon Sakinah and Tanween, Meem Sakinah, Ghunnah, Qalqalah, Madd, Idgham, Ikhfa, Iqlab, and other essential rules. Students will also learn the principles of Waqf and Ibtida (stopping and starting) so they can recite verses with greater accuracy and understanding.
